In previous books Nico hated Percy because on a quest Nico's sister got killed and Nico blamed Percy. In that time Nico's only friend was a ghost of a king in Greece. Midas was Nico's friend. Nico can talk to ghosts since his dad is the god of the underworld. Nico can also summon the dead and is amazingly strong. Nico is very good natured after Nico finally stopped being angry at Percy he spoke to ghosts to see his friends future.
Nico has also a very quirky personality. Although he was acted like a small child before being burdened by a life of a demi-god. Nico used to play a card game called mythomagic that had all the action figures of gods and monsters who do special abilities. Nico used to love this game. He also used to adore Percy. He even had Percy's mythomagic card.
In conclusion, Nico is my favorite character in the story of House of Hades. Nico is the most complex character and the most intresting. Also Nico is just quirky and funny. Nico is my favorite character by far in the story.
Great response, i like how you avoided focusing on the main character, Percy, and took interest in one of the lesser main characters, it shows your interest in the book and how you look at variety. I also liked how you conveyed your point that throughout all of Nicos different personalities and character traits, you continued to like him.
