In the book Percy Jackson and the Olympians the Titans Curse. Percy grows a lot during the book. Percy is a demi-god half mortal half immortal. He is son of Poseidon an ancient greek god. This is strange even for a demi-god. At camp half-blood there hasn't been a child of the big three ( Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon) since world war II.After that war the "big three" promised never to have children again. Percy then comes and he is considered a hazard. Percy used to be a regular high schooler with ADHD but now he is a triumphant hero.
Percy was a regular high schooler before he found out he was a demi-god. He lived with his mom and step dad. His step dad was named Gabe and he hated him. Percy hated how Gabe treated his mom and always told Gabe that to his face. When Percy goes on a school trip to a museum with his best friend Grover his life is spun upside down. First his teacher turns into a monster and tries to kill him, and second he finds out his best friend Grover is half goat half human or a satyr.
Percy is a special child. He is attacked by monsters in school or outside of school. Everyone is trying to kill him even an ancient Titan named Cronus. Cronus has set a trap for Percy this year. This year two children of Hades come to camp and there is a mysterious prophecy that a child of the big three will either destroy Olympus(Olympus is where the gods live) or help Olympus. Percy has to deal with a knew quest and a plot against him. He also has to with death of someone close to him and another gained enemy.
I would recommend this book to people who are into fantasy that involves myths. This book would also be good for people like mysteries. I liked because of the humor, action, and the thrill. Percy Jackson is a great book for kids in 5th to 7th grade.
