Hercules

In this myth Hercules is the son of Zeus the greek god of the sky. Hera is Zeus's wife and she is angry at Zeus for cheating on her with another woman to make Hercules. So Hera takes her anger out by sending Heracles on 12 dangerous missions. Heracles is very blinded by the need to succeed.

In the story all he thinks about is finishing his journey so he could be immortal. He never notice how dangerous and crazy the quests were. Like one time he had to kill the Gorgon Medusa that could have turned him into stone by looking at him.

He does not ever seem to notice how unneeded these quests are also. He never showed emotion when he fought the giants for cattle or when he wrestled a Nemean Lion for his pelt. For what also immortality and being at your fathers side is not that great compared to all he's done. Especially since his step mother wants to kill him.

In conclusion, the great powerful Hercules is a bit dim. He puts his life on the line for little reward and is to dim witted to realize that someone is trying to kill him. In the end Hercules got his reward but I don't think he got enough for what he did.
