I was reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. I loved the book along with the other five books that came before it. In the Harry Potter books, there is a boy named Harry. His parents were murdered by an evil wizard called Lord Voldemort. When Harry was a baby, Voldemort tried to kill Harry and his parents Lily and James. The spell backfired because Lily sacrificed herself to protect Harry. Harry then was raised by Muggles (non-magical people) that were his uncle, cousin, and aunt. They despised Harry for being a wizard even though he didn't know he was one. Harry found out that he was a wizard when a half-giant told him and brought him to Hogwarts. Harry changed from a little kid to the only person who could defeat Voldemort.
When the story began Harry's character was of a timid and confused little kid. For example, He didn't know what he was or why people all knew him. He didn't know that he made Voldemort disappear. He also didn't know he had made enemy's. His magical powers were uncontrolled and he was confused at what he could do.
In this book, Harry becomes more responsible and begins to become the hero he has to be. For example, he learns that the lord Voldemort has to kill him or he has to kill Voldemort to finish the wizard war. Harry has been through tough times, like Sirius Black's death and worrying about a dark wizard chasing after him. Those experiences made him stronger, braver and more capable as a wizard. He gaining confidence to defeat Voldemort.
I recommend this book to anyone who likes suspenseful reads. I love this book for action and the mystery. The author develops many characters throughout the series. You really get to know all the main characters and want to find out what happens to them in the end. This is my favorite book, I hope you will consider reading this book because of its amazing story and characters.
